Trinity Emergency Shelter

There are many grateful men and women finding warm shelter at Trinity, after waiting patiently in the breezeway on these very cold nights. At 730 each evening, they come into the Fellowship Hall to cheerful greetings from masked Open Table Ministry staff. Although strict precautions to prevent the spread of Covid-19 are maintained, our guests are made comfortable with mats and blankets, snacks, and kind words. Each evening we have hosted 18 to 22 people who would have no other place to go to get out of the cold. Word is out that this is “the best place in town” to find a safe warm spot for the night. In the morning, rested and armed with a renewed spirit, they leave to face another day on the streets. Thank you Trinity UMC for your warm hospitality.
